Dear Pastors, Friends, & Family
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we are praying you have a wonderful start to 2016. As you pray for the Lord to give us fruit for our labors here; we are praying that the Lord will send you fruit for your labor where you are.
Erica and I are continuing with language school and are progressing. We both seem to be doing well, although I would like to do better personally. I am finding having a good ear is very important to learning a new language; also, having a good understanding of english is a huge help as well.
Iglesia Bautista Libertad, the new church plant we are serving at while in language school, had it’s organization service in November. I am not sure of the final count but I believe there were 35-40 people to enroll as members for the organizing of the church. It was a wonderful day and great experience to be a part of this service. The church is only six months old, but the Lord has done a tremendous work in the lives of several families already, and has given us a good core group of people.
In December the young national pastor, Francisco Barra, that is serving at Iglesia Bautista Libertad graduated from Chile Baptist Seminary. Francisco is one of the finest young men I have ever known. He has a true servants heart and loves the Lord. He has a tremendous testimony and desires to be used of the Lord in church planting.
Thank you again for all you have done for us. We also want to say thank you to each of you who took time to send us a note or card for Christmas. We did not receive them until after Christmas, so we got to enjoy opening gifts a second time.
We pray for the Lord’s riches blessings upon you this year as we labor together for the furtherance of the gospel.
Jamie, Erica, Morgan, Luke, & Meredith
