Pastor, Friends, and Family,
January and February are summer months in Chile and many people take vacations and travel during this time. Despite this, we saw good attendance in both January and February.
Our family had the opportunity to travel to the northern city of Iquique for a few days for a wedding of a young couple that are here training in the Chile Training Center. While there, we were able to spend some time seeing the city. There is a great need for more churches to be planted in Iquique. Would you pray that the Lord would send more laborers to this city.
Also, we have continued our search for a location to plant a church. We have found a few buildings that we liked, unfortunately, they did not work. So, the search continues. We know the Lord will lead us to the right place in his timing.
We had our annual teen camp. There were over 100 teens that participated, and many decisions were made during this time. We are grateful to see so many teens with a desire to follow Christ, and ask that you pray for their continued growth. Many of them have a desire to go into the ministry and will be taking classes as soon as possible in the Chile training center.
We also had the opportunity to take part in the services of a new church plant, planted by our friends, Daniel and Anna Sparks; Love Baptist Church. I preached and Erica, Morgan, and Meredith sang in the service. We also had the opportunity to take part in the services at the church in Iquique while we were there and were invited to preach and sing for another church in Maipu.
We want to give an update on Meredith. A few months back we requested prayer for her because of an issue she has had with how she walks. After several months of therapy she has seen major improvement. However, it has not been sufficient enough to cancel the need to have surgery. We have an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon for a consultation on how to move forward, and will keep you updated as we have more information to share. Please continue to pray with us for this need.
Thank you again for your faithfulness to support the Lord’s work around the world and specifically our family. We can not express our gratitude enough.
