Moving Forward…
by the grace of God!
I Corinthians 15:10 Is one of my favorite passages in the Bible. Paul declares “But by the grace of God I am what I am…”
He wasn’t the man of God because of who he had been; a religious zealot. He wasn’t who he was because of the level of formal education he had received to become the Pharisee of the Pharisees. Nor, was he hindered from being who he had become because of who he had been; a persecutor of the church.
As Paul wrote to the Corinthian church he boldly proclaimed there is only one reason that I am who I am today; the grace of God.The same is true of me and my family, and so much of God’s grace has been demonstrated to us through you.
Your faithfulness to give to missions in your local church that has allowed your church to support us and your faithfulness to pray for us on deputation (just this week in one day I received emails from several members of one church stating that they were praying for our family) have proven to us that God’s grace is sufficient to meet our every need. You have been a great encouragement to our family. Thank you, for allowing God to use you to show His grace to us.
Now, on to the update!
February, although having crazy weather, was a good month. We had several meetings canceled or rescheduled because of the abundance of frozen precipitation. However, we were still able to present in five new churches, and the Lord provided new support.
This month we also made some headway in preparation for the move to Chile. We had our physicals completed, received our clean bill of health, and submitted an application for our FBI background check. Our next step moving forward will be submitting our application for our visa. As soon as we receive our FBI reports we will be sending that in. Please pray for us that this process will go quickly and smoothly.
Also, we would like for you to pray with us for the following upcoming financial needs:
1. Funds for shipping container
2. Funds for a car
3. Funds for appliances
(Specific information on each of these things can be found on our website; www.reachchile.org)
Also, please continue to pray that God will use us as we complete deputation to be be a blessing to others, raise up more laborers for the field, and to be faithful witnesses on our way to Chile.
We are so excited and thrilled about the days ahead. It’s hard to stop writing because I want to share with you so much how the Lord continues to enlarge our hearts as we get closer to being able to share the gospel with the people of chile.
Thank you again for all you do to make it possible for us to all we do.
In Christ,
Jamie, Erica, Morgan, Luke, and Meredith
